2018 Ducati Monster 1200S (Anniversary Red)
I actually don’t know what year this bike is, but they look about the same online between 2017-2019, hehe. This Ducati belongs to the owner of the Porsche that we did a couple days ago. There was a mishap on the tank that left some deep scratches, which we ended up doing some light 3000 grit sanding to remove the majority of it. We did not go any more aggressive as to not introduce texture differences. Besides, it is a bike that is meant to be ridden, not babied. And unless the paint was wrapped in PPF, minor swirling and scratches is bound to happen as the riders have to clinch and hang off the tank in turns, and gear usually get left atop the bike while taking breaks. The goal was to work on those few scratches, enhance the rest of it, and coat it with a non-slick coating as to not introduce new dangers to the rider. That way, any surface scratches or swirls that will get introduced later down the road would be on the coating and not on the OEM clear coat.I really miss riding!
