2018 Porsche Cayman 718 (Sapphire Blue Metallic)
It’s always makes things way funner when you get to work on things that you haven’t worked on before. The nice thing about what we do is that as long as it’s got paint and a clear coat, we can work on it. In today is Sean’s new CPO 2018 Porsche Cayman 718 in Sapphire Blue Metallic. This is a really sick color, and very fitting for the type of car that it is. The new Cayman’s definitely look way more aggressive too. I like the route that Porsche went with this. Overall, the car had pretty low miles, but it did have it’s fair share of minor swirling. We ended up doing a two step polish on most of the panels, and even spot-wetsanded a few RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches) on the roof to get it looking proper prior to coating it with CS2 TitaniumSH (Self Healing) ceramic coating. TitaniumSH by nature is a softer coating (compared to other options), but has self healing capabilities, at around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Being that Sean has a daily driver, TitaniumSH was the choice of protection for this car, and which should make it much easier to maintain for the next several years.
