2003 BMW Dinan M3 (Carbon Schwartz)
No joke, this was a really fun project to work on. My new Quickjack 7000SLX couldn’t have come at a better time either, which really saved my back when working on the lower panels of this rarity. David was nice enough to leave his car with me for as long as I wanted. When we first met a month or so ago, we checked out the car and it looked to be in pretty good shape and our initial plan was to do a single step and coat. After using an acid base wash to strip any existing protection, glazes, and oils on the vehicle in preparation for polishing, the paint didn’t seem to be in as good of shape anymore. There were DA sanding haze, rotary marks, clear coat overspray, etc. Granted, it is a 16 year old car, and I never expected it to be perfect. So, glad he was able to leave it with me for longer. I ended up doing a two step on the majority of the car which really got it to look proper. The PPF’d areas got CS2 Xcelerator, windows got CS2 ClearVue, and the rest of the car got CS2 Titanium. This Dinan E46 M3 in Carbon Schwartz is looking insane!
