2020 Tesla Model Y (Multicoat White)
First Model Y! Actually, this would’ve been number three, but we’ve been having quite a few reschedules and/or cancellations altogether due to the ongoing uncertainties. This Y received the most popular combination; full front custom paint protection film for physical protection, and CS2 Titanium coating on the rest of the car (including the PPF) for chemical/uv protection and the ultimate ease of cleaning due to the impressive slickness. We also protected the black plastics with BlackWOW Pro to keep things hydrated, and front windshield with CS2 ClearVue for safer driving in the rain.
As with most first year models, there are typically some quality and fitment issues. Overall, being an early adopter of this Y, the quality isn’t nearly as bad as the first year Model 3’s. The usual were expected and were apparent, but it sounds like Tesla is actively working with the owner to try to resolve some of these issues. While it also seems Tesla was receptive to the missing or thin paint comlaints on the Model 3, it seems they did go a little overboard, as in, overpainting some areas to the point where there are some paint drips.
